Data security prioritized in outsourcing

An company that outsources work has to make sure that its partners are trustworthy and can handle confidential information well. It should be one of the main criteria a company has to look on.

In this area, companies in the outsourcing industry have already made leaps and bounds, for data security is well-advanced. But there are still areas to be address. This was tackled in the London chapter meeting of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.

Outsourcing contracts down by 20%

It was predicted that due to the global economic slump, the outsourcing industry may take terrible declines--and terrible declines they were.

Outsourcing contracts this quarter show to be 22 percent smaller than last year's. The weakest part of the industry, it shows, is the outsourced financial services sector. However, 2008 is still projected to be relatively strong for the entire industry.

US Writers Have No Spot in Nobel

The top jury of Nobel Prize in great writing thinks that American writers was way too insular and ignorant to compete against European writers.

Swedish Academy's permanent secretary Horace Engdahl states that there is no coincedence that most winners are European because it is still the literary center of the world and United States.

US writers are too sensitive to trends in their own mass culture, they don't translate enough and don't really participate in the big dialogue of literature.

The Winners of these prestigious award will commence Monday next week with the Medicine award and the possible literature award is on Thursday.
