The top jury of Nobel Prize in great writing thinks that American writers was way too insular and ignorant to compete against European writers. Swedish Academy's permanent secretary Horace Engdahl states that there is no coincedence that most winners are European because it is still the literary center of the world and United States.
US writers are too sensitive to trends in their own mass culture, they don't translate enough and don't really participate in the big dialogue of literature.
The Winners of these prestigious award will commence Monday next week with the Medicine award and the possible literature award is on Thursday.
